Mission Statement

The purpose of St. Pius V is to help others experience Christ as the center of our lives. We believe with the help of the Holy Spirit, we will share the talents and blessings of our members by:

  • Praising God
  • Teaching the message of salvation
  • Enriching ourselves through service to all God's people

We have many volunteer ministries at St. Pius V Church and it is through these ministries that our parish community lives out our mission statement. Please contact the parish office if there is a ministry that fits in your life.

Volunteers that work with children and youth or vulnerable adults must be E3 qualified. Please contact the parish office for more information.

Eucharistic Ministers
Volunteers assist the priest in distribution of the Holy Body and Blood of Christ. Please contact the parish office if you would like to help out. Terms last three years. Training is provided.

Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion to the Homebound
Extra Ordinary Ministers take communion every Friday to our homebound members requesting communion. Please contact the parish office if interested in participating.

Nursing Home Ministry

Greeters
All weekend Masses have greeters. They make our people feel welcome as they greet them prior to Mass. The whole family can participate in this ministry. The greeters usually are the gift bearers at Offertory as well.

Altar Servers
Servers assist at weekend Liturgies, Funeral Masses and for special occasions. Children must be in grade 4 or older to become a Mass server. Adults are also welcome. Training is provided. Grade 4 students will be notified when training is available. Please call Cindy Meyers in the Faith Formation Office at 507-263-2578 or email to spvcfyouth@gmail.com if interested.

Ushers
Ushers take up the collection during Mass and also help parishioners find seats when seating is limited.
