Lester Lee

October 20, 1952 — May 24, 2024

Lester Ray "Bummer" Lee, age 71 of Cannon Falls, died at home on Friday morning, May 24, 2024.

Lester was born on October 20, 1952 in Hastings, the son of Raymond Sr. and Shirley (Lawrence) Lee. He graduated from Cannon Falls High School and had been working at Point of Sales (now Cannon Equipment.) He worked there for 41 years, retiring in 2013. Upon retiring, he did lawn maintenance for three years at the Cannon Golf Course.

He married the love of his life, Debra Lorentz on March 9, 1974 at St. Pius V Catholic Church, and they had four children.

Lester loved hunting and fishing. His passion for the outdoors was most enjoyed up north at the family property. Family was very important to Lester, and he loved spending time with them, especially his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debbie; his children, Jake and special friend, Brenda Bathrick, Sandra and husband, John Peterson, and Troy and his wife, Amanda, all of Cannon Falls; seven grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Isaac, Aubrianna, Sebastian, Hilari, and Elias; nine siblings, Mary Kilmer of Cannon Falls, Linda Wallaker of Wanamingo, Barb (Jon) Garrison of Ely, Marshal (Kim) of Northfield, Dale of Cannon Falls, Raymond Jr. (Pam) of Wanamingo, Penny Paulson of Princeton, John and Leslie, both of Cannon Falls; many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Sr. and Shirley; daughter, Stacy; brother, Larry; and brothers-in-law, Leslie Kilmer, Jerry Wallaker, and Noel Paulson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 29 from 4-7 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls. Funeral mass will be on Thursday, May 30 at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10-11 am, at St. Pius V Catholic Church, Cannon Falls. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Active casket bearers will be Ray Jr., Dale, Leslie, John and Marshal Lee, and Dan Brandel. Honorary casket bearers will be his grandchildren.
